Kaylee + Cody // Nashville Engagement

With it finally being fall now, I thought it would be a good time to share these engagement pictures I took last November in Nashville, TN for some of my favorites, Kaylee & Cody! These two are so fun and I recently shot their wedding day a few weeks ago and it confirmed what their engagement session taught me - they are in fact the coolest! Last year I planned a trip to Nashville to shoot two engagement sessions for two of my couples getting married this year that live there. Unfortunately for us, the night I arrived the weather randomly turned bad and it started to snow... and snow.. and snow all night long. Kaylee and Cody's engagement session was scheduled for the following day and it ended up being 13 degrees when we took their pictures the next afternoon. THIRTEEN DEGREES in Nashville, it was insane! I had never met Kaylee or Cody before other than facetiming with them, but we got acquainted pretty quickly as we drove around Nashville to a few of their favorite spots for pictures with their sweet Goldendoodle, Nellie. I literally held their coats, hats, scarves, and gloves for them as we took a few pictures and then they would speedily try to get back into their coats and gloves for a few seconds of warmth. They were total troopers and even though it was soooooo cold we had so much fun and laughed our way through it all! They even brought along their favorite local Nashville beer for a few pictures and kept them cold in the snow while we took pictures. Kaylee was so kind and took me to dinner after their session and we talked for a few hours and it truly felt like we had known each other and been friends our entire lives! I knew that I was going to love this girl and that has been confirmed time and time again as we've worked together throughout the past year. These two are so fun loving, goofy, stylish, and their love for each other and the Lord shines through them in so many ways. I am so excited that they are finally husband and wife and I cannot wait to share more pictures of them from their wedding day soon, but for now enjoy these fun pictures from their engagement session in Nashville last fall!
