Alyssa + Travis // Lakeside Engagement

I mean this engagement session... just WOW. I can't even describe to you how much I love these photos and how natural and easy it was to take pictures with Alyssa and Travis! They are so fun, chill, and down to earth and I absolutely loved getting to hang with them and take these sweet photos at such a beautiful destination. Although these photos look oh so effortless, that wasn't the case with the planning for this session which we had to reschedule four times due to bad weather and unforeseen circumstances... but man it was worth the wait and I'm so glad we could make this dream destination happen for Alyssa and Travis's pictures. They were so excited to shoot at Jocassee and thought it would be perfect to incorporate their love of the outdoors and adventurous personalities into their pictures, and I have to say this location did not hesitate to show off for our sunset shoot! In some photos I honestly felt as if we were in another country entirely with the mountain and lake views and soft blue and gold colors from the sunset & water, it was simply perfect. Travis and Alyssa have a sweet story - they met on the first day of Medical School and ended up being lab partners. Although for a while neither of them wanted to admit their feelings for each other, partly due to fear of losing a highly needed study buddy, eventually they ended up going on a date and the rest was history! They are getting married in Charleston next May and I truly can't wait to be a part of their special day celebrating their story and the two of them finally becoming husband and wife!
