John + Madison // Bluffton Elopement

I’m happy to be sharing another one of my elopements from the spring today and this week it’s John and Madison’s wedding day! These two had to sadly change their plans a few weeks before their wedding because of the circumstances, but they still chose to elope on their original wedding date and had an intimate wedding with just their parents and siblings! They eloped in Bluffton, SC at John’s parents house, and their backyard was the perfect spot complete with mossy oak trees and a stunning golf course view of the marsh. This day was so full of beauty, happy tears, family hugs, and so much fun taking pictures around John’s parent’s home. Even though it wasn’t the original plan they had for May 2nd, it was still so celebratory! They also decided to have a second wedding day and celebration in August with their bridal party and extended families and friends in Greenville, SC which was a great time! Another fun fact about these two - they might have one of my favorite stories of how they met, here’s a very brief version that I’m sure I’m butchering a bit but I’ll give it my best shot: John and Madison had a class together one semester in college and both noticed each other and thought that the other was cute! Throughout the semester they both had a crush on the other and wanted to have an opportunity to talk with each other, but they never got to talk in class and each class ended with a test and everyone would leave as soon as they finished their test - Madison says every time she would try to take as much time as she could to finish her test because John would take forever to take his tests and she wanted to walk out at the same time as him and hopefully talk, but eventually she would wait so long she would just turn her test in and leave because he was still working... Meanwhile, John was working as fast as he could to finish his test for a chance to walk out at the same time as Madison and ask her out, but he couldn’t finish his tests fast enough (lol) so all that to say, that never happened and the semester sadly ended, with John telling his roommates about how he wanted to ask this girl out but never got a chance to talk to her. Flash forward to the next semester and Madison is out with her friends one night for her birthday and she runs into John, the cute boy from her class and they finally meet and get a chance to talk. John told her how he had actually wanted to talk to her when they had class together and he asked her out! And the rest is history! Well, there’s also a part about a 21st birthday kiss… but I’ll let them fill you in on that! Anyways, their story is so fun and one of my favorites to look and see how far they’ve come! And I’m so happy I could be a part of all the special days for the new Mr. and Mrs. Ziegler!
