Grace Anne + Jayson Hopper // Wedding
I’m so excited to be sharing sweet Grace Anne & Jayson’s wedding from back in February on the blog! These two decided not to do a first look and Jayson's reaction to Grace Anne coming down the aisle was so tender and filled with excitement as he saw his bride for the first time. This wedding day was the kind of day my heart lives joyfully for! Truthfully, leading up to Grace Anne and Jayson’s wedding day, I had been eagerly waiting for it to get here ever since she first contacted me in July last year. From the moment I read her email I knew I wanted to be a part of this day! Read what sweet Grace Anne told me about their story below:
“I am marrying my high school sweetheart! I met Jayson when i was in the 8th grade. We dated in high school and broke up right before he left for Clemson (he is a year older). We went a year without talking or seeing one another. I was in Anderson for a church meeting and afterwards he was waiting on me outside with a book in hand. It was full of our story from the past five years, prayers he had written throughout our year apart, and letters from each month away. From then on we've been together, for nearly two years. He's the love of my life, my best friend and my forever. We’re young, only 21 and 22, but so very in love. We've both had to grow up real fast and faced some not so great circumstances together but he's been such a pure example of our heavenly father to me. We're different in a lot of ways but he brings out the parts of me I never knew were there. We challenge each other and aren't afraid to call out the things that aren't from God in each other's lives. Truthfully, we are great together by the hand of God and the hope we have in Him.”
Every bit of their story, their love, and their faith has been on display as I’ve gotten to know, and really become friends with, these two during our time working together, and their wedding day was no different. I couldn’t be more honored that I was able to be a part of their special day and witness such a celebration of what the Lord has done in their lives with all of their friends and families there to witness. This day was such a party and I'll never forget how much fun they had or the smiles that stayed on their faces all night. All this to say, I’ll be talking about this day and this sweet couple for a long time!
