Jordan + Taylor Deweese // Wedding
Taylor + Jordan are truly a special couple! They had been together for 7 years before getting engaged and made it through the rough points of being apart throughout college. Taylor was a Rally Cat at Clemson and Jordan went to USC. But, that gamecock blood didn’t stop him from coming to almost every home game to watch his girl cheer the tigers on the sidelines… NOW THAT IS TRUE LOVE! He popped the question and proposed to her last year by taking her for a sweet getaway weekend to Charleston. They got married on May 4th at the Southern Bleachery in Greenville, SC — such a beautiful + fun day. Jordan made sure the “May The 4th Be With You” saying was a part of their day too by playing the Star Wars theme song as the groomsmen walked down the aisle… it was so cute and everyone loved it! This day though filled with fun + laughter, but was such a sweet + emotional day as well. A few weeks before their wedding day, Taylor told me that her mom, who had been sick for a while, had passed away. My heart broke for Taylor, and I knew there was nothing I could do or say to console her through this heart wrenching time. Weeks leading up to their wedding, I continually prayed that their day would be so full of joy and celebration of Taylor + Jordan’s new life together and of the life her mom lived. Despite the absence of her mom, the Lord definitely provided and made this day beyond beautiful for Taylor, Jordan + everyone who was apart of it. And let me just say that Taylor's dad is the sweetest man. He took care of his daughter and was her rock not only on her wedding day, but all the way leading up to it. He came to her bridal portraits with us, helped hold flowers and carry her dress and was everything she needed during this hard time. On the day of the wedding he ran around making sure every detail, person, and vendor was attended and spoken to and that the day was running perfectly for his daughter… nothing short of the best and sweetest dad EVER. He called me a few days before the wedding to chat about a some things and I could truly see how much love he has for Taylor. Like all dads, he would do anything for his sweet daughter! Some of my favorite pictures are of her dad zipping Taylor into her dress… it was truly such a sweet moment for the two of them to share. Taylor also doesn't have any sisters, but her bridesmaids became that for her on this sweet day. They were always taking care of her, making her laugh, and having tissues on hand when things became emotional or overwhelming. I absolutely love the pictures of them seeing her in her dress for the first time. It was such an emotional and sweet moment seeing all of them admire how absolutely beautiful she is. It rained on this day (even hailed at one point) one of the hardest it ever has rained on me at a wedding, but the weather didn’t have anything on Jordan + Taylor getting their beautiful pictures on their big day! Taylor + Jordan did a first touch before the ceremony and it was such a special time for them to get to hold hands around a corner and read each others letters together. This alone time definitely calmed a lot of their nerves, even by just getting to touch and comfort each other. The night was full of lots of laughter and fun, as they danced the night away together. Their wedding day was a true celebration of the love they have for each other and them getting to begin their new life together! I am seriously so so happy for Taylor + Jordan and what a special + sweet couple they make as husband and wife!
